Whew!

Tuesday, December 18th, 2007

We are looking forward to relaxing and enjoying a restful holiday. With many packages sent, presents wrapped and holiday notes written this past week…we are ready for a mini break. For the new year we are planning many new additions to our shop. Also, during the first week of January we will have a little post-holiday sale. That will be your chance to buy all the gifts you really wanted for yourself.

Happy holidays everyone!

Fridays

Friday, December 14th, 2007

It’s been gloomy all week here, and today was the first sunny day in awhile. It calls for snow tomorrow. Today Holly had a little holiday party at her school, she made fun crafts and brought home a cute glitter pine cone for our tree. So happy it is Friday!

We are going out for ice cream soon. Have a great weekend.

Time for Love + Cheer.

Wednesday, December 12th, 2007

We got our tree today, we went to three different places to find the perfect one. This one is a fraser fir, the needles have a blue tint to them. We can’t put our presents underneath it because the bunnies like to eat wrapping paper. This year Holly is understanding Santa, Stu is thinking of dressing up has him. He’s even started the beard.

Good Grief.

Tuesday, December 11th, 2007

We are all recovering from a cold. Stu was the last to get it, but we are almost all better. Keeping busy packaging up many orders and wrapping up presents. We’re hoping to get our Christmas Tree today or tomorrow. Holly is excited about it and so am I.

Tomorrow there will be more updates to the shop, some last minute vintage items. Place your orders by Dec. 15th to make the holidays and take advantage of free shipping for orders over $100.

currently loving

Friday, December 7th, 2007

Joy from Nantaka Joy (whose beautiful journals we carry in the shop) asked me to participate in her “currently loving” series on her blog. She asks designers and artists to share a photo that shows what they are really into or loving right now. You can read about the photo I submitted at oh joy! blog

Thanks for including me in this fun series, Joy!

Shop Update.

Thursday, December 6th, 2007

Some great items will be added to the shop this Friday into Saturday. Lots of amazing vintage finds. Be sure to get your orders in by the 15th – in time for the holidays.

Snowflakes + Warm Fireplace = Cozy Day Inside

Wednesday, December 5th, 2007

We planned on going on a shopping trip together t0day but woke up to snow. It’s still coming down, but I think it will only be a few inches. Holly also has come down with a little cold so we are going to go on Thursday instead. I put on an old Frosty the Snowman movie for her to watch and Stu made a fire in our fireplace.

There are some vintage items still awaiting to be photographed so I plan on adding them to the shop today. Some exciting news, we were featured on luckymag.com in one of their online store guides, under the category: “the best websites you’ve (probably) never heard of”. They describe us as “Sort of a hip general store, Three Potato Four makes searching for the unusual and well-crafted a deeply rewarding endeavor.”

Pretty cool!

A present for you.

Tomorrow we’re going on a shopping voyage for antiques. As well as shop for the store, it’s also our mission to begin our own holiday shopping for family and friends. We love buying vintage and antique items as gifts. It’s nice when we find something that is so unique to an individual and also has a history and story behind it. Getting something that is one-of-a-kind makes a gift all the more special and even more fun for us to pick out.

*Don’t forgot holiday orders should be place by the 15th or earlier to ensure timely delivery and take advantage of the free shipping we are offering for orders over $100.
