you only turn five once.

On Saturday we celebrated H’s fifth birthday. Her favorite movie is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Gene Wilder original!). So out of cardboard Stu and I made trees and stuck candy on them for a Candy Forest and created a Wonka Machine that turned regular plastic eggs into golden ones. (This was achieved by Stu who was the man inside the machine, complete with elaborate sound effects.) We climbed trees, ate cake, ran around an obstacle course…  And at the end of the day we gave out Wonka bars (which they have just relaunched with a chance to win a Golden Ticket – trip around the world).
Happy Birthday to our Holly!
