Pair of leatherbound United States Army pocket manuals. Includes "Mess Officers' Manual" and "Medical War Manual No.6 Laboratory Methods of the United States Army". Both manuals are dated 1919 and in good overall condition showing only minor usage wear. Preface of "Mess Officers' Manual" states: "This little book has been prepared to facilitate the work of camp nutrition officers". Introduction of "Laboratory Methods" states: "This manual is in no sense a text-book. It is a collection of formulae and technical methods which will be useful in carrying out laboratory examinations which officers of the medical corps will be called upon to perform in stationary and in field laboratories". Each manual measures approximately 4.25" x 6".
