A truly lovely vintage hand-carved wood chalet weather indicator (barometer) with key holder so you can keep near your front door to check whether or not you'll be needing your raincoat and boots.

So how does it work? In its original design (this one has not yet been tested), you were to set the barometer function by placing the house in an airy setting and if the weather was dry, you would turn the chimney until the wooden man figure comes out. If the weather was wet, you bring the woman out. You are only required to do this once. Thereafter, when the weather turns nice, the man should automatically come out and when the weather is rainy, the woman comes out. We've sold a similar one of these where the man had to brave the bad weather. At least the woman has an umbrella in this one.

Measures about 4" x 6" and is in vintage condition.
