Beautiful vintage hand-carved wood chalet weather indicator (barometer) with cute mushroom, rocks and shrubbery landscaping details. This lovely decorative piece also has a function (although we have not tested it).

In its original design, you were to set the barometer function by placing the house in an airy setting and if the weather was dry, you would turn the chimney until the wooden lady figure comes out. If the weather was wet, you bring the man out. You are only required to do this once. Thereafter, when the weather turns nice, the man should automatically come out and when the weather is rainy, the man comes out. Hey, what gives? Can the guy at least get an umbrella?

Measures 8.25"l x 2.75"w x 6.25"h and is in great vintage condition.
