Framed 60's/70's Diner Placemat - "The Weather"
#Framed 60's/
Growing up in Jersey, diners were a part of everyday life and created great memories for me (stu). Inspired by the diners I grew up with, I set out to collect old diner placemats. Each diner placemat is unique and has its own quirky way of sharing trivia and little-known facts.
This placemat entitled "Interesting Things About The Weather" shares such trivia as:
- Ten inches of snow contains roughly the same amount of water as one inch of rain
- It is said that if the Ground Hog leaves his burrow and sees his shadow on February 2, cold weather will continue for six more weeks
- Signs of the Hurricane
- Birds roost before a storm
- An Anticyclone is defined as being a large area of high pressure
Placemats come in a clean and simple walnut wood frame ready for display.
Please Note: We are not longer shipping framed items internationally, including Canada. Continental US shipping for this item only.
