This perfect little wooden box is a bit of a mystery, but from what we were told it was used to hold electrical wire - possibly for use by the Japanese Navy (as indicated by a small embossed anchor symbol on the tin label). This box is very well-made with beautiful notch joints and is a quaint 3.25" x 3.25" x 1.25"h. Comes with original spool of wire.
