Usually the toy is better than the packaging, yet sometimes the packaging is better than the toy, and in rare cases they're equal - as is the case of this wonderful vintage West Germany Matchbox Zoo Playset. All playset pieces are housed in 8 different matchbox-size and matchbox-style boxes (6 of which are shown here) and include Big Trees, Thin Trees, Fences and Cage pieces, Lions, Camels, Monkeys, Elephants and Rhinoceroseseseses (not sure where that word should end).

Set (both boxes and pieces) is in wonderful vintage condition and ready to play or display.
