We love nautical-themed interiors, especially when they are peppered with truly unique antique pieces that seems to pull everything together. This amazing handcrafted model battleship made of a hard styrofoam-like material and detailed with finishing nails and thread (much of which has been lost over time) is just one of those pieces. Of particular detail, we love how the paint over the styrofoam material has resulted in giving the ship an overall antique leathery appearance. Dating back most likely to the 1950's at one of the heights of the model building craze, we're unsure as to whether or not this was from a kit or completely homemade. Either way, it's a beautiful example of a timeless hobby and a perfect display piece for your home. Aircraft is in unrestored vintage condition and certainly shows expected wear for an item of this age and material - but overall an excellent display piece.
