The origins of this vintage wooden lidded box are a bit of a mystery. The stenciled 8896 on both ends gives some clue that it may have stored some type of tool or replacement part, but for whatever was originally held within, we think it's well re-purposed to house office accessories, jewelry or any other bits, bobs or treasures that need storing. Box is wonderfully handcrafted with solid dovetailed joints and absolutely perfectly aged wood patina. Box is in very good vintage condition with no majors nicks or cracks and measures 10.25"l x 3"w x 1.75"h.
