Our daughter Holly has started collecting a menagerie of wooden animals. Like myself, she especially likes wood birds. This red bird is a great start for a child's collection. He sits on a stand and is made of wood measuring 3.75" inches high. Made in Japan, he's in good vintage condition with only a few nicks in his paint. I believe his original purpose was as a toothpick holder as seen by the tiny holes in his back.
