Signage - Hoagies
Growing up in New Jersey, I was a "sub" kid, never knew what a "grinder" was and well, "hoagies" - now at the time that just sounded too funny to be true. According to Wikipedia, the term Hoagies was concentrated in the Philadelphia metropolitan area, Central Jersey, South Jersey, Pittsburgh and Northeast PA - but this endearing term for the sandwich of sandwiches is now known the world over.
This worn and weathered vintage wooden "Hoagies" sign most likely once proudly swung over a local deli shop. And although we may never know what ingredients were included in their signature Hoagie, we know that this amazing sign would look great in our kitchen. Sign is in unrestored vintage condition and shows wear, but is still very solid. Measures 32.5" x 7.25" and has random hand-cut "faked" edges on both sides.
Currently there are 2 Hoagies signs available (yes, we can't believe that there were two of these either) - both in similar condition but with different side-cut edging.
update: both sold out
